SUBJECT: 2001 Wing Conference Competition Updates

1. This information is provided to help promote the cadet program 
and to explain the application procedures for various wing 
conference competitions.

2. Application and Deadlines:

Applications to participate in the competitions will not be considered after the deadline. 

b. All Applications must be complete and accurate.

Competition      

Each group may send one cadet to compete for the privilege of 
representing NY Wing at the North East Region Speech Competition.  
Specific speech topics will distribute when the Letter of Intent 
is received.  

The competition will be held at the New York Wing Conference in Albany.  

Please send a letter of intent and  $10 entry fee to the address 
below by 31 March 2001.

Exhibit Competition

Each group may send one team to compete for the privilege of 
representing New York Wing at the North East Region Aerospace Contest.  
The theme is "When Men Grew Wings" (The Centennial of Pre-Wright Flight) 
Kites, balloons, gliders, blimps and other ingenious or nefarious flying 
devices.      

The competition will be held at the New York Wing Conference in Albany.  
Please send a letter of intent and  $10 entry fee to the address below 
by 31 March 2001.

Poster Contest 

Each group may send one team to compete for the privilege of representing 
New York Wing at the North East Region Aerospace Contest. The theme of 
the poster is "60 Years of CAP Achievement"

The competition will be held at the New York Wing Conference in Albany.  

Please send a letter of intent and a $10 entry fee to the address below 
by 31 March 2001.

Contest 

Each group may send one team to compete for the privilege of representing 
New York Wing.  The theme for the safety competition is "CAP Logs safest 
year in history, but there’s always room for improvement"  

The competition will be held at the New York Wing Conference in Albany.  

Please send a letter of intent and a $10 entry fee to the address below 
by 31 March 2001.

Contest 

A new addition to this years competitions will feature an essay contest.  
The competition is open to all cadets within the wing, there is no limit 
for group representation, each group may submit as many candidate as 
possible.  The theme is "CAP through the years"

The Essays will be read on 4 and 5 May at the New York Wing Conference 
in Albany.  Please send a letter of intent and a $10 entry fee to the 
address below by 31 March 2001.  

If you have any questions regarding the activities listed, please do not
