SUBJECT: Encampment Commander Announcement

1. I am happy to announce that Lt Col Anita E. Martin, CAP, of Mid-Eastern
Group, has been accepted as the Commander for the 2001 New York Leadership
Encampment to be held at Ft Drum. Lt Col Martin is the Unit Commander of
NER-NY-392 (Vedder Composite Squadron) and is the Group Cadet Program
Officer for Mid-Eastern Group.

2. As many of you may know, this will be Lt Col Martin's forth consecutive
year as Encampment Commander. She brings a wealth of experience to the
encampment and the cadet program. In addition, the contacts Lt Col Martin
has made over the years at Ft Drum will ensure yet another successful
encampment.

3. Please join me in congratulating and wishing her a successful and the
best encampment year yet! Lt Col Martin's e-mail address is

4. Please encourage senior members to attend the encampment on staff. Lt Col
Martin can use all the help and support from senior member volunteers. We
expect the 2001 encampment to be even bigger than the 2000 encampment which
had over 300 personnel in attendance. Without a sufficient amount of
seniors, we will be turning down applications this year.
