SUBJECT: Speech and Essay and AE Poster Competitions

1.  Once again it is time for cadets to exercise their artistic, 
verbal and written creativity and compete at the NYWG conference 
for best essay, best speaker and best Aerospace poster/display.  
The competitions should begin at the group level with the best 
from that group's competition continuing on to Wing Competition. 
This would mean the possibility of eight entries at the conference.  
The winner of the wing competition in each event can go on to 
compete at the NER conference in September/ October.

2.  The specifications for the Aerospace poster is 11" x 17" maximum 
size, any medium, and containing "CAP" somewhere on the poster 
using the theme "SILENT FLIGHT".  

3.  The specifications for the AE display is "SIMULATED FLIGHT", 
any medium, and must be contained on maximum area of two banquet 
tables.

4.  The speech competition will comprise of a prepared speech, 
5 minimum to 10 maximum minutes, and a 2 minute impromptu speech.  
The subject or theme of the prepared speech will be "THE US SPACE 
PROGRAM"  presenting on anything dealing with the past, present 
or future.

5.  The essay competition will comprise of a 2-page (front and 
back of one sheet of paper), double spaced, typed essay with 
the topic of "THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY OF TODAY AND TOMORROW".
